The Rue de la Lune

This piece was projected onto a 7 foot textured hemisphere within a gallery room that was half carpeted and half covered in leaves.

The projection was also reflected into a pool of water on the floor.

It was created entirely from animated photographs of a wall in the Rue de la Lune in Paris.

It is my intention to project it back onto this location at some point as I see this as the only natural conclusion to the idea.

To this end I present the object in its original form and by a slow process of abstraction, try to explain the emotional response I felt on encountering it for the first time. This is most evident in the abstraction of the object at the end of each sequence once the object is surrounded by the picture frame.
